Bio: 

Dr. Gaojian Huang is an Assistant Professor in Industrial and Systems Engineering and the director of the Behavior, Accessibility, and Technology (BAT) Lab. His expertise includes human-AI interaction, intelligent mobility, smart assistive technology, multimodal interface design, and the intersection of age, disability, and technology. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications, and his work has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Honda Research Institute USA, and the American Honda Motor Company. He is an awardee of the Early Career Investigator Award at San Jose State University (SJSU) and received the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition in 2025.
